Wirenest 6 in VISCA Coupler, 8-Pin Mini-DIN Female to Female
Join two VISCA cables with male 8-pin mini-DIN connectors.
This 6-inch Wirenest VISCA Coupler has a female 8-pin mini-DIN connection on both ends. It provides a cable-to-cable connection between two compatible male 8-pin VISCA cable ends.
Common uses:
• Join one male-to-male 8-pin Daisy-Chain Cable to another male-to-male 8-pin Daisy-Chain Cable
• Join the male 8-pin end of a DB9F-to-8-pin Control Cable to a male-to-male 8-pin Daisy-Chain Cable
This is not a direct camera-connection cable. Most camera VISCA ports are female, and this coupler also has female connectors. It will not plug directly into a female camera port. A male 8-pin mini-DIN cable connector is required on each side of the coupler.
The coupler passively joins compatible VISCA RS-232 cable sections. It does not convert connector gender beyond its female-to-female configuration, and it does not convert RS-422, Ethernet, VISCA over IP, video, audio, or power.
Check before purchase: Inspect both cable ends that you intend to join. Each must be a male 8-pin mini-DIN connector. If you need a cable that connects directly between two female 8-pin VISCA ports, select the male-to-male Wirenest Daisy-Chain Cable instead.
